Leeds Aagrah serves up Kirkstall Brewery's new Halka beer

The beer shares the name of a town in the Kashmiri region of Jammu, around 322 miles North-West of New Delhi, India's capital.

And Indian food lovers are being invited to raise a glass to also celebrate the launch of a new food menu at the restaurant in St Peter’s Square, Quarry Hill.

Aagrah Leeds launched its first craft beer in collaboration with Kirkstall Brewery three years ago after the two companies met at a cricket match.

The two popular Yorkshire brands created Virtuous, to sell to customers as a local, authentic alternative to typical Indian lagers.

The 10 venue restaurant chain was founded in Shipley but now also has outlets in Leeds city centre, Garforth, Sheffield, Chapel Allerton, Midpoint, Skipton, Wakefield, Tadcaster and Doncaster.
