International juice and coffee shop Joe & the Juice set to open first site in Leeds

The store is promising to offer an ‘Otley Run recovery’

An international juice and coffee chain is set to open its first site in Leeds.

Joe & the Juice will take over the former Franco Manca unit at Trinity Street, outside Trinity Leeds, after the pizzeria closed down earlier this year.

Signs for the Danish brand have appeared outside the unit, promising an ‘Otley Run recovery’, and the company is currently hiring for a Leeds store manager.

Founded in Copenhagen in 2002, Joe & the Juice has expanded across the world with more than 500 sites.

It now boasts more than 90 stores in the UK, largely in London and the south of England.

The company is known for its freshly prepared juices, smoothies, shakes, coffee and sandwiches, with a menu that also includes protein-rich drinks and a range of breakfast options.

Its food offering includes a selection of made-to-order sandwiches, with popular choices including spicy tuna, alongside a range of fresh juices and coffee.

The Leeds opening comes as the company continues to expand its international presence, with the UK among its key growth markets.

In its latest annual report, published in April 2026, Joe & the Juice reported a 16.5% increase in revenue to DKK 3.3bn (£around £380m), and said it was continuing to pursue its ambition of reaching 1,000 stores globally.

No opening date for the Leeds store has yet been announced.
