Angelica Leeds: It’s a holiday at home on Leeds’ ‘best rooftop terrace’

Where else but Leeds’ rooftop terrace at Angelica bar and restaurant?

The Instagram-hotspot has a new Botanical Garden set in the sky for the summer.

Produced in partnership with Ketel One, the new floral-decorated terrace comes equipped with summer and vodka themed drinks.

According to manager Andrea Rossi, it’s one of the best terraces in Leeds creating that holiday feel this summer.

He told the YEP: “The Botanical terrace is probably the best one we’ve had since Angelica opened.

“It’s filled with flowers, fruits and some olive trees around and it just brings so much joy.

“This year it’s going to be hard to go on holiday but now people can come here and enjoy the weather on a terrace that feels like you’re somewhere like Italy or Spain.

“This is like a holiday destination at home and it’s there to be enjoyed by the people of Leeds.”

Mr Rossi added that Angelica has been busier than he had first expected since reopening after lockdown.

He said: “It was hard at the beginning, to bounce back from lockdown.

“A lot of our staff are European so they had gone home, and some had found different jobs in sales or marketing.

“Then, we looked out for the best people with a passion for hospitality and since then it’s been amazing, super great and really busy.

“The atmosphere is amazing because of our customers and because of all our staff.”

The bar staff have been creating new summer-themed cocktails using Ketel One vodka, including a peach and orange blossom flavour and a different grapefruit and rose one.

Mr Rossi said: “We’re just playing around and our cocktail superstars are playing with the ingredients.

“One of them is like summer in a glass, with peach and orange blossom vodka, brandy, passionfruit syrup and prosecco.

He added: “As long as the atmosphere is at our heart, we can do anything really.

“It could be rainy, or sunny, but Angelica always has the power to bring that atmosphere to Leeds.”

Plamena Hristova is the main manager of Angelica and she works with Andrea who mainly focuses on Crafthouse.
