The store officially opens its doors to the public on Monday, May 10 at 10am.

Jollibee will be offering its signature dishes such as crispy fried chicken with a side of sweet spaghetti and its pineapple-topped tropical burger.

The brand has a cult following among the Filipino diaspora and previous launches have seen 72-hour queues and people traveling from Edinburgh to London just for a taste of Jollibee.

Founded in 1978 in the Philippines, the brand has almost 1500 chains worldwide.

Jollibee say the Leeds branch will offer a new, unique and, most importantly, fun experience to everyone who comes through the door, all at an affordable price point.

Adam Parkinson, VP of Jollibee Europe, said: “Leeds is an incredible city filled with culture and great food.

“We are excited for the people of Leeds to take their first bite of our £3.99 chicken burgers and our brand-new spicy version which we are adding to the menu this month.”

Mr Parkinson added: “Jollibee is the first chain restaurant that I have worked for which has managed to hold onto its family values while achieving expansion on such a global scale.

“For us, the customers really do come first and this dedication to serve is what makes the company so successful.

"I hope the people of Leeds will be impressed by our fantastic food and premium service.”
