Issued by the Food Standards Agency, a hygiene rating gives diners clear information regarding the hygiene standards of a food business.
Ratings cover how food is handled, stored, and prepared, alongside the cleanliness of facilities and how food safety is managed.
In the first few months, a total of 68 hygiene ratings have been awarded to sit-down restaurants in Leeds, with scores ranging from one to five.
Five means a business’s hygiene standards are ‘very good’, while one means ‘major improvement is necessary’.
Here’s how every sit-down restaurant across which has been rated in 2026 fared.
