Creamola Foam: competition to choose our new flavours

One of the most iconic tastes of childhood is back … and you can help choose the next exciting flavours to hit the shelves in Yorkshire and beyond.

Creamola Foam was a firm favourite in the fifties and sixties with generations of children loving to mix the tiny tin of flavoured crystals with water to create a fun, fizzy drink for pocket-money prices.

Now under the management of brother and sister Agnes and Andrew – the fourth generation of the family run company, the new iteration of Creamola Foam still sells many of its original flavours, including raspberry, orange, lemon and cola.

But to put some fizz and fun back into 2021, three lucky Yorkshire Evening Post readers will not only get a chance to choose the next new flavours to go into production this summer, they will also win an entire box of their very own creation each worth nearly £70. No cash alternative is available.

After a rubbish year we all want to taste the good life … and this competition, which is free to enter, is the flavour of fun times to come.

Terms and conditions apply here and see below.

Nominate a flavour

It’s time to get wild and wacky with your suggestions … maybe you’d love roast beef and Yorkshire pud in a glass, a fish and chip sensation or a rhubarb and custard concoction to tantalise the tastebuds? Will you stay safe with fruity favourites, go wild with wasabi or hanker after sweeties from your childhood, like soor plooms or Pontefract cakes to inspire your choice?

It’s up to you! This retro brand isn’t afraid to be bold, and Agnes McGough from manufacturer McCandlish, which makes other household names like Chelsea Whoppers, Macaroon Bars, Cinder toffee and Moondust, says all ideas will be considered.

“We really want people to be as creative as they can be with our flavours … the judges will choose three to put into production, and we want to be challenged.

“We’ve spoken to our specialist recipe creators who say they can make up anything, sweet or savoury, so the sky’s the limit!”

How to enter

To be in with a chance of being chosen, simply nominate your flavour here. A judging panel will create a shortlist of contenders, and three lucky winners will be chosen at random.

Not only will your flavour go into production for Yorkshire, UK and international sales, each of the three winners will win a box of their brand new flavour to enjoy, worth nearly £70. No cash alternative is available.

Closing date for entry is 11.59pm on Friday, April 24.
