Few culinary debates in West Yorkshire spark as much fierce loyalty as picking a favourite fish and chip shop.
Whether it is proper beef dripping, crispier-than-crisp batter, or a hidden neighbourhood takeaway that has served generations of locals, everyone has a go-to spot.
When we asked Yorkshire Evening Post readers over on Facebook to name the absolute best chippy in the city, hundreds of comments flooded in.
While the debate was passionate, clear favourites emerged across every corner of Leeds.
Here are your top-rated fish and chip shops in Leeds.
