A shuffler, a baller and another year older for Leeds party guru Jordan

Acting his age or not? Jordan Odu gets involved in Ball Mania.

Listen up people, 35 is the new 25 – I’ve made it official.

I’ll admit that my imminent birthday was starting to make me feel decidedly old, but I’ve managed to claw back the years recently by essentially behaving like a big kid, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone else feeling the same (So, nothing new there).

First up, I literally jumped back into my youth by diving head first into a gigantic adult-only ball pool last week. Ball Mania has taken over the top-floor of Shooters Sports bar until Friday August 10, and I can confirm it’s super fun, and packed with Insta-worthy moments to get that perfect shot but be careful, don’t drop your phone as you won’t find that again.

I’ve also developed something of a shuffle-board obsession lately, which means the forthcoming Box Leeds couldn’t come at a better time. I’ve just had a sneak peek of the venue on Infirmary Street and it’s looking slick.

I can’t wait to dance on the benches to the live Apres Ski band, stuff my face with awesome bubble waffles and I may even try my hand at darts come September.

Across town, The Light is going to be the home to one of Manchester’s most popular joints – Junkyard Golf.

They take city centre gaming to new heights, with nine-hole crazy golf courses dripping in neon and stacked with cool set-pieces, as well as freaky cocktails and fairground junk food. It definitely sounds like a bit of me.

Going back to birthdays again, I can’t believe I was celebrating one year of the Japanese inspired roof-top restaurant and cocktail bar, Issho, on Thursday night.

It doesn’t seem like two sleeps since their launch party last summer, and the place has become one of my go-to rooftop haunts.

We partied in style, as you would expect, with to-die-for sushi and premium cocktails – I can guarantee quite a few people will have their ‘out of office’ on yesterday.

Moving forward, I’ll be getting my rave back on after catching the bug again in Croatia recently. The Symphonic Sounds of Back to Basics is set to blow Millennium Square away this evening, with dance legends Robin S, Alison Limerick and Utah Saints in the house. It’s yet another chance for me to dip back into my younger days for a spot of reminiscing and Where Love Lives is still such a good tune.

You might think I’d have a chilled-out weekend in the diary after all of this partying, but I’ll be out to celebrate Leeds Pride on Sunday August 5, which promises to be the best one yet.

Each year more and more businesses get involved with Gay Pride in Leeds and it’s an amazing event for our diverse city.

And finally, I hate to end on a sour note, but… Monday is the day we wave goodbye to Love Island for another year, and there will be a huge void in my life but I’ll try my hardest to fill it with all our upcoming events and launches.

And, just in-case you were wondering – I want Josh and Kaz to win this year as they seem really sound and she’s a next level hotty.

That’s it for now guys but I’d like to give a shout out to Leeds United. All the best in the new season, let’s get promoted…and of course I hope to see you at a Pink Gorilla party soon.
