The competition saw numerous Leeds residents enter their pets, with their videos posted on our website.

The competition was stiff and we want to stress that every pet received a fair few votes in the competition.

However, after voting from the public over the past few days, there was one clear winner who can now be named as Leeds’s top pet... Bennie Best the Cockapoo!

Bennie hails from Garforth and is an excitable sporty dog and lives with owner Georgia, who has always been a dog lover and will be receiving the 50 pound voucher to spend at Pets at Home now that Bennie is the confirmed winner of the competition.

Bennie is described by his owner Georgia as being “full of energy, he’s a very good poser for photos” We can vouch for that after seeing Bennie’s photos in the competition.

Bennie turns 2 in August, and owner Georgia says aside from being a prize-winner, Bennie is also quite the footballer. One of his favourite past times is playing with a football in the garden.
