Some arrivals at the charity’s centre in East Ardsley have been abandoned or neglected, while others had happily lived with owners who fell ill and could no longer care for them. Whatever the circumstances, staff and volunteers from the Leeds, Wakefield and District Branch do want they can to care for them until loving new owners can be found.
The animal welfare charity is also on hand to offer advice to people who already own pets but may be struggling to cope with the cost of food or healthcare.
These are all of the cats and dogs currently being cared for at the centre that are yet to be matched up with the right owners.

7. Ginny and Purdy
Ginny and Purdy came to the centre after their owner fell ill and was no longer able to look after them. These easy going cats, aged around 8.5 years old, hope to find a home together where they can enjoy their retirement relaxing on the sofa or in the garden. Photo: RSPCA

8. Wotsit
Wotsit was first at the centre as a puppy and has ended up back there through no fault of his own. At seven months old, this playful Presa Canario needs a family who are experienced with large breeds and can help him socialise well with other dogs. Photo: RSPCA

9. Oscar and Shay
Oscar and Shay are two loving and affectionate boys with their own personalities but these domestic short hairs both enjoy attention. They would like to find a home together where they can have plenty of places to curl up and snooze. Photo: RSPCA

10. Chichi
Domestic short hair Chichi is an affectionate girl with a beautiful coat and lots of love to give. She does have skin allergies and will be on live long medication but the animal centre will help her adopters with the cost. Photo: RSPCA
