North Leeds Food Festival will celebrate its five year anniversary, hosting a spring event from May 8 until May 10, and a summer event on August 1 and August 2.

International traders will sell food from all over the world at a large artisan market and the festival promises plenty of vegan options to keep up with 'increasing demand'.

A live music stage will feature for the duration of both festivals, with live jazz, brass and acoustic performers.

Michael Johnston, festival director, said last year's festival was a 'fantastic' day for everyone involved.

He added: "The brand new Cookery Theatre went down a storm, hosted by the talented Leeds Cookery School.

"We’re honoured and privileged to host two events at Roundhay Park in 2020".

The festival has raised over £25,000 over the past four years for mental health charities and additional activities this year will raise funds and awareness for charity Leeds Mind.

Thousands are expected to descend on Roundhay Park for the first North Leeds Food Festival in May.

Tickets start from £4.98 and can be purchased at northleedsfoodfestival.com.
