Leeds winter vegan Christmas market saves dogs lives by raising nearly £3,000 for charity

Animal charity Miracle’s Mission will see the benefits from the market which was able to go ahead as an outdoors event on Sunday.

All the profits from the event and all others organised by Vegan Events UK are being donated to the non-profit animal welfare organisation that works with sick, injured and difficult animals.

It provides a place of safety for animals in danger, educates on the need for neutering both pets and strays and to neuter stray dogs and cats to prevent the birth of more on the streets.

Founder and event organiser at Miracle's Mission, Victoria Bryceson, said: “It was pouring down with rain, freezing cold and I assume some people were worried to come because of Covid.

“But we did our best and I am pleased it went ahead as we raised nearly £3,000 for the dogs.”

Miracle’s Mission, is currently looking to build the UK’s first centre for disabled animals, so Victoria and her team can rehabilitate the most vulnerable, before finding them their forever homes.

Vegan Events UK was founded in 2017 with the joint aim of promoting veganism and helping to fund the vegan-led animal welfare charity, Miracle’s Mission.

It has 15 events planned so far for 2021 including Leeds Vegan Festivals in April/May 2021 and November/December 2021.

Miracle’s Mission can also be helped by fundraising, volunteering, fostering, donating or buying from its online shop.The charity also has a new book available, BO’S BOOK: Recipes from The Vegan Chef School and Tails From Miracle’s Mission, by Chef Day Radley and Victoria Bryceson.

It features simple, easy-to-follow recipes accompanied by mouth-watering photos with easy-to-follow recipes for every occasion.
