The tree was made by Pudsey Community Craft group.

Dozens of volunteers gave up their time to knit 600 squares which adorn the impressive tree.

The bespoke frame was created by a Pudsey resident, with timber supplied by local business Farmac Building Supplies.

The organisers said: "It started off with a barmy idea from Dawn Seary before Covid even began, our community tree is finally up!

"So much hard work has gone on behind the scenes to bring this together. Well done Pudsey community."
