This year’s event will have a special funfair theme and will feature live music, a photo booth, fairground fun and games and a celebrity guest.

The event is being sponsored by Purple Voucher Company, Berkley Scott, Deliveroo, Slingsby Gin and the Yorkshire Food & Drink website.

Nicola Furbisher, YEP editor, said: “This year’s Oliver Awards look set to be bigger and better than ever.

“And we’re set to celebrate the very best of Yorkshire after receiving a record number of entries to showcase the region’s best restaurants and cafes at our annual Oliver Awards.

“This is all about rewarding those restaurants, bars and pubs for their flair, imagination, service and of course their food.”

To reflect the city’s burgeoning dining scene this year we created two new categories to enter – Best Rural and Best Street Food.
