Can you help identify the locations? These images are all featured on photographic archive Leodis, which is run by Leeds Library & Information Service. They also run heritage blog The Secret Library Leeds, which provides a behind the scenes look at the Central Library and highlights from its special collections, including rare books hidden away in the stacks. The majority were taken by Eric Jaquier, from Switzerland, who spent some time in Leeds in 1969/1970 and lived in the Hyde Park/Burley area. He photographed the streets of Hyde Park, Burley, Armley and other areas of the city. READ MORE: Why these 17 historic photos are the talk of Leeds LOVE LEEDS? LOVE NOSTALGIA? An unmade Leeds street in 1969 with red brick terraced homes either side and lines of washing strung between. The houses have arched entrances with doors opening directly onto the pavement. The gaps between the blocks of properties are likely to house yards with outside toilets. | Eric Jaquier, leodis.net Photo: Eric Jaquier, leodis.net
