George Graham guided Leeds United to a fifth place finish in his first full season in charge. And just four games of the 1998/99 season Leeds went to top of the Premiership for the first time in their history. But rumours began to spread of Graham taking the Tottenham job after Spurs had sacked Christian Gross. And the club's visit to White Hart Lane in September 1998 just adding fuel to the rumour mill.
