The last gasp win which left the Elland Road faithful daring to dream

It was a last-gasp win which left Leeds United on the brink of a return to the promised land.

The White became within touching distance of ending their 16-year Premier League exile after a last-gasp victory at Swansea City in July 2020. When Pablo Hernandez's low shot rolled in off the post a minute from time the Elland Road faithful were left daring to dream. Leeds had marked the passing of club legend Jack Charlton before kick-off at the Liberty Stadium before producing a solid, organised performance which left them needing just four points from their three remaining fixtures to clinch automatic promotion. "I cannot enjoy this yet. The only thing I can enjoy is the last objective, if we get it," reflected Leeds United coach Marcelo Bielsa at full-time.
