The Whites continued their impressive form after a dazzling 4-1 win against Derby County at Elland Road in March 1999. A rampant first-half comeback guaranteed Leeds their sixth successive victory, a feat not achieved in the top flight since Don Revie guided them to the old First Division title in 1974 - the last time Derby won at Elland Road. Goals from Ian Harte, Lee Bowyer, Willem Korsten and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink proved the difference in front of 39,256 fans. Leeds went on to finish the season fourth in the Premier League.
