It was the summer day The Boss rocked Roundhay Park in front of 80,000 adoring fans.

Bruce Springsteen performed on an open air stage in July 1985 which was quickly becoming the favoured venue for international superstars including Madonna, Michael Jackson and The Rolling Stones. His three-and-a-half hour set ran over and he had no support act. Two giant video screens put up for those at the back meant all eyes could see. Enjoy these photos, taken by former YEP photographer Steve Riding, of the rock superstar on stage as well as the huge crowd which capture the spirit of the occasion.
