Neighbours look at the blaze of colour which bursts from a row of houses on Cow Close Road in August 1982. The mural was next to the New Blackpool Centre of the Red Ladder Theatre Co.

New Wortley Community Centre. It was completed in 1982. Arnold and Walker Architects visited other centres with members of the community group and studied their leisure activities in the local village hall.
