These photos turn back the clock to an age of travel from the mid-1950s and hurtle down the decades right through to the early 1990s. They feature some notable landmarks of life on the railways including the introduction of pay train stations in the late 1960s, the strikes of the mid-1970s which brought disruption for passengers as well as the opening of new stations across the city in the early 1980s. These photos, plucked from the YEP archive, also feature station staff who you may remember as well as celebrity visits to the city. READ MORE: 12 lost Leeds railway stations LOVE LEEDS?
