More than 150,000 people turned out to watch the club parade the Division One trophy through the streets on an open-topped bus.

Memories like these can’t be bought," admitted manager Howard Wilkinson at the time. "There’ll never be another day like this."

Your YEP asked fans to share memories of that Sunday afternoon which came just 24 hours after Leeds United beat Norwich City, thanks to a Rod Wallace goal, in the final game of the season.

Here are a selection of responses via facebook:

Darren O'Donnell - I was right in the centre of the stage near the bus stop/post. I was told to get down by the presenter before the Leeds team came out. Great day MOT.

Iain Taylor - I was in that crowd when Cantona came out with the "I don't know why but i love you" line.

Rob Jackson - I was there. One of my best days ever!!

Robbie Maher - Serious rum session that day . Remember being on top of a bus shelter singing 'Ooh ahh Cantona'.

Paul Brace - Met Strachan just before the celebration and couldn't thank him enough. I was telling him up to that point in my life I was going through the best moments. Then I went to enjoy myself some more as I had done so all week. Great memories when we got to the Town Hall, great celebrations.

And responses via Twitter included:

super_leeds (@soy_super_leeds) - I took my dog all dressed up in the Leeds colours, we got stopped a few times for a photo of her, wish I had taken one for myself.

Mark271 (@Mark27112 - Unbelievable day - one we’ll never forget.

Steven (@stevenagar) - 14 years old, climbed on top of a bus shelter opposite the balcony, cops told me to get down... great day!

Rod Christopher (@rodchristopher9) - I followed #lufc home & aways loads during this fab season. Way too many ups to name, but also recall feeling so down heading home from that 4-0 tonking at Man City! But what a great squad, staff & fans! A well deserved title for the city.

MAXIMUS DECIMUS (@pupspride) - Sunday after Norwich game, so god only knows how we managed to get through after that session. Even took my lad who was under 2 at that time.

Paul L (@TheClubFootClub) - As a 12 year old, I named my ginger cat Gordon in tribute to Gordon Strachan.

Follow Me And LUFC (@FollowMeAndLUFC) - We were in the Town Hall with them but can't believe I forgot to take my camera with me!

Rebeca Lee (@rebecalee2012) - The summer I finished primary school. Good memories.

@munkulus - I was on the balcony with the players that day. What a day.
