Houses on Stonegate Road in September 1937. On the right is a stone property, number 79 Stonegate Road, with a cigarette machine facing the footpath. Number 79 was Stonegate Dairy Farm, also known as the White Farm. The farm made regular milk deliveries in the locality via horse & cart. The extension on the front, right, housed the farm shop which eventually began to sell more general commodities like bread, biscuits and cigarettes.
