It was a month which saw the launch of an innovative approach to public transport in Leeds.

The first section of the city's guided bus route - on the A1 Scott Hall Road - opened to help ease traffic flow and congestion. A newspaper vendor was told to move from his site in the city centre to make way for the refurbishment of a pub.
