Leeds in October 1995 - 21 stories making the news

It was the month which bus passengers around Leeds received a major boost.

A new bus terminal was opened to the public in the city centre. Elsewhere a group of drinkers were celebrating a claim to fame. The four friends were photographed by the YEP after having had a drink in each of the city's 630 pubs (not all at once!). And charity was high on the news agenda with the launch of an appeal with an emphasis on nature. People are asked to sponsor the planting of bulbs in Roundhay Park to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. This was Leeds in October 1995 - is it a city you remember? LOVE LEEDS? LOVE NOSTALGIA?
