Leeds in June 2002 - 12 stories making the news

It was a month which featured a fun run in the sun for hundreds of pupils at a Leeds school.

More than 850 students at Temple Moor High put their best foot forward for a sponsored fun run from the school and around Temple Newtsam Park. This was June 2002, a month during which football dominated the news headlines. Leeds United manager David O'Leary partied company with the Whites after four years at the helm while England fans were looking forward to a World Cup quarter final showdown with Brazil.
