Parents from Leopold Primary in Chapeltown staged a demonstration outside Leeds Education headquarters in Merrion House while pupils at Tinshill Primary put pen to paper to voice their concerns. This was Leeds in June 2001, a month which also featured protests over a proposed siting of a mobile phone mast outside a Leeds school.
