It was the month those looking for love turned out at the Crown Plaza in the city centre as auditions were held for popular ITV dating show Blind Date hosted by Cilla Black. New Year celebrations were muted after bad weather forced the cancellation of a big Millennium Square party and elsewhere trendy city centre living was proving a talking point while a well known Leeds restaurant celebrated the Chinese New Year in style.
