Fans staged a peaceful protest at the Billy Bremner statueafter Leeds United “reluctantly” agreed to sell Jonny Howson to Premier League Norwich City for £2 million in late January 2012. The Morley-born midfielder, who came through the Leeds United academy, made 225 appearances for his boyhood club scoring 28 goals.
