How Leeds came together to celebrate the 1981 Royal Wedding

Leeds came together to celebrate the "wedding of the century" back in the summer of 1981.

Scores of street parties were held across the city in July 1981 as Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer married at St Paul's Cathedral in a ceremony watched by an estimated global TV audience of 750 million people. The couple separated in 1992 and divorced in 1996 after fifteen years of marriage.
