8. September 1983
Bramley became the fifth new station in Leeds to open within 18 months. Close on 100 trains will operate through the station serving more than 3,000 households.
9. December 1984
Just 15 months after it was opened in a blaze of glory Bramley railway station had fallen to victim to vandals who covered stone sheters in graffiti, damaged benches and painted over timetables.
10. November 1980
As the steam clears, the Duchess of Hamilton locomotive is revealed in all her former glory. She was at Leeds City Station to mark the 150th year of transported mail deliveries.
11. December 1980
British Rail's 'Mr Information' John Coates retired after a career helping thousands of lost and weary passengers at Leeds City Station. He had been information supervisor and station guide as part of 42 years service on the railways.
