Amazing pictures show life in Leeds during the 1920s

These photos turn back the clock to showcase life in Leeds during the last 20s.

They turn on the spotlight on a city evolving and a decade which saw the first council houses were built in Leeds. The images are a mix from the YEP archive and photographic archive Leodis, which is run by Leeds Library & Information Service. They also run heritage blog The Secret Library Leeds, which provides a behind the scenes look at the Central Library and highlights from its special collections, including rare books hidden away in the stacks.
