Mayor of Wakefield Coun Norman Hazell and Wakefield Hospice fundraiser Helen Knowles were feeling on top of the world in August 2000. The pair are pictured on top of the training tower at Wakefield Fire Station which they planned to abseil down to raise funds for the hospice.
