They may have fallen by the wayside but for many will always evoke happy times of a misspent youth or a sense of community and belonging. The Royal Sovereign on Commercial Road in Kirkstall. This pub was closed in 1977 and demolished for redevelopment.

The Pioneer was built into the Leek Street development at Larchfield Dene in Hunslet. Pictured in May 1973.
30. The Corporation
This photo rewinds to November 1964 and shows The Corporation on Camp Road in Leeds. It was demolished as part of Leeds City Council's redevelopment plans.
