They may have fallen by the wayside but for many will always evoke happy times of a misspent youth or a sense of community and belonging. . Stumps
Stumps - located underneath Leeds City Art Gallery on The Headrow - was a popular haunt. Closed in the 1990s.
. The Peel
The Peel, a Webster's pub on Boar Lane, closed in the mid 1980s as its necessary refurbishment was simply not seen as a woethwhile investment.
. The Squinting Cat
The Squinting Cat on Swarcliffe Drive became a magnet for anti-social behaviour before a fire broke out in 2013, which destroyed a large portion of the building. Photo: Steve Riding
. The Travellers
The Travellers on Selby Road - pictured inside here in April 1993 - closed in 2007.
. Mulberry Hotel

. The General Wade
The General Wade opened in October 1965 and was nicknamed 'The Threepenny Bit' owing to its octagonal shape.
. The Skinners Arms
A number of tanneries and leather works in the area provided customers for The Skinners Arms on Sheepscar Street North. It closed in 2007.
. The Woodpecker
The Woodpecker - pictured in October 1989 - was demolished to make way for the York Road flyover. It will also be remembered for being badly damaged during an air raid in 1940.
. Pig & Whistle

. The Guildford
Time was called at The Guildford on The Headrow in the 1980s.
. The Highwood
As well as the ever-flowing drinks, this pub on the Brackenwood estate also used to serve up a popular Sunday night quiz and had a great community feel.
. The Beulah
The Beulah on Tong Road in Farnley closed then reopened in 2011 before closing again in 2012. The photo turns back the clock to December 1986 and features the pub's brass room after it had been decorated.
. The Melbourne
The Melbourne at the junction of York Road and Foundry Lane in Cross Gates was demolished at the back end of the 1980s to make way for a vehicle service centre and restaurant.
. Swan With Two Necks
A major redevelopment in the mid-1980s transformed the Swan With Two Necks on Raglan Road in Woodhouse into one of the city's finest pubs.
. The Duchess of York
Best known for its live music, The Duchess of York on Vicar Lane also famously housed a settee on which Nirvana's Kurt Cobain allegedly slept on.
