13. La Dolce Vita, Vicar Lane
Specialised in Sicilian food this restaurant, pictured in October 1990, was popualr with shooppers, office workers and theatre-goers.
14. Sous La Nez En Ville, Quebec Street
Brought a dash of Parisian chic to the city centre and was voted Oliver's restaurant of the Year in 1991.

This restaurant on Galloway Lane was unashamedly old-fashioned. It was open 365 days a year and boasted one of the largest a la carte menus in Yorkshire.

Opened in September 1992 this restaurant and wine bar located in the city's emerging waterside area offered diners an open coal fire to help keep winter at bay.
