It was a year which would provide happiness and heartache for residents in LS11. A sandwich shop in the heart of the community welcomed TV royalty while a local school took a creative approach to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee. Beeston Festival proved as popular as ever while Beeston in Bloom helped the suburb blossom.
