These photos rewind the clock to showcase some of the stories making the news in the town back in the year 2000. They highlight issues on a range of topics from community campaigners calling for action on cars rat-running through to the discovery of a stone plaque with the original coat of arms from the site where Pudsey Board School was located on Mount Pleasant Road. Pudsey hosted a world record attempt while a famous resident was looking ahead to the new darts season. Elsewhere we reported on a little boy who was hailed a hero after alerting neighbours when his dad fell injuring his neck at home.
