31. Leeds city centre
A welcome and colourful sight had appeared on a normally drab and grey section of Wellington Street in May 1987. The eye-catching flower display at the front of the new tourist information centre had brought a breath of spring for passers-by. It had been put there by Leeds City Council as part of the Summer in the City Campaign which was backed by the YEP. | YPN Photo: YPN
