2002 will be remembered for a series of events around the town marking the 50th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II to the throne. They included the annual Pudsey Carnival which boasted a royal theme and a very special Queen for the day - 106-year-old local resident Florrie Baldwin. Elsewhere the town's two rival cricket clubs were aiming to hit the opposition for six while school life played a part in positive LS28 news. Enjoy these photo memories charting 12 months in the life of the town. Do you recognise anyone? READ MORE: 20 photo memories of Pudsey in 2000 LOVE LEEDS? LOVE NOSTALGIA? Join Leeds Retro on facebook
