7. Leeds from the air - University of Leeds
Leeds University, looking east, taken before the construction of the Parkinson Building which opened in 1951; but the Brotherton Library, opened in 1936, is prominent in the centre.
8. Leeds from the air - West Park
Two separate schools built on the one site, Boys Modern School first known as Leeds Modern and the Girls Modern School. They were known collectively as Lawnswood High School.
9. Leeds from the air - Little London
Camp Road (now Lovell Park Road) and Oatland Lane running from bottom left to top right. In the centre building work is in progress on the two tower blocks of Carlton Towers; above this, Carlton Croft, Close and Garth have yet to be built.

Waterloo Lake can be seen on the left of the picture with Park Avenue below. On the right, Wetherby Road runs vertically upwards with Elmete Avenue leading off.
