Using data collected from the Leeds Observatory for 2018, these are the 15 Leeds wards with the highest combined rates of obesity, diabetes, coronary heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD, lung disease) and cancer.
The data represents patients registered at a local GP practice so may not represent the entire population of the ward. Health conditions included in the data are restricted to those listed above.
Rates of any given health condition are calculated per 100,000 of the population.
1. Middleton Park
Middleton Park is the ward with the highest combined rates of health problems in Leeds. This includes the highest rate of obesity in the city, with 30,928 obese people for every 100,000 of the population. Photo: Mtaylor848 CC by 4.0
2. Gipton and Harehills

3. Killingbeck & Seacroft

4. Burmantofts and Richmond Hill

5. Hunslet and Riverside
