The best-rated GP practices in Leeds for 2026 have just been named.
For many patients who find themselves unwell, the GP surgery is the first place they go. Often described as the “front door” of the NHS, it offers diagnosis, treatment and onward referrals to specialists.
The experience you have with your GP can make a big difference to your health, with patients in Leeds having their say on their GP’s performance in the latest GP Patient Survey, produced by Ipsos on behalf of NHS England.
And the latest results have been released today (Thursday July 9).
More than 650,000 patients in England completed the 2026 survey, which was carried out between January and April this year.
It gathers information on how patients feel about their local GP, revealing the best and worst surgeries in Leeds and beyond. Across the country, the majority of patients described their overall experience of their GP practice as ‘very good’ (46%) or ‘fairly good’ (31%).
Here we reveal the GP practices in Leeds which were voted the best by you. Surgeries are ranked by the proportion of patients who said their overall experience was ‘very good’.
7. Westgate Surgery - Otley
There were 401 survey forms sent out to patients at Westgate Surgery in Otley. The response rate was 34%, with 137 patients rating their overall experience. Of these, 64% said it was very good and 23% said it was fairly good. | Google Maps

There were 511 survey forms sent out to patients at Beeston Village Surgery in Beeston. The response rate was 19%, with 96 patients rating their overall experience. Of these, 63% said it was very good and 22% said it was fairly good. | Google Maps

There were 590 survey forms sent out to patients at Kirkstall Lane Medical Centre in Headingley. The response rate was 17%, with 100 patients rating their overall experience. Of these, 63% said it was very good and 32% said it was fairly good. | Google Maps

There were 505 survey forms sent out to patients at Priory View Medical Centre in Armley. The response rate was 26%, with 129 patients rating their overall experience. Of these, 62% said it was very good and 20% said it was fairly good. | Google Maps
