Man safely brought down from Leeds city centre scaffolding

A man was safely brought down and taken to hospital for a mental health assessment today after climbing up scaffolding on a building in Leeds city centre.

A specialist police negotiator was called in and West Yorkshire Police officers attended at 6am after reports of a man who was on a building on Woodhouse Lane and was refusing to come down.

The man was safely brought down and taken to hospital for a mental health assessment. Police say only the pedestrian part of the road was closed and not the road itself.
