"We look forward to working with organisers to ensure that next year’s St Patrick’s Day Parade in Leeds is one of the very best yet."

It comes as the total number of coronavirus cases in Yorkshire has risen to 30, with seven confirmed cases in Leeds.

St Patrick's Day parades in Ireland have also been cancelled, as the Irish Government has taken a different approach to the UK in a bid to stop the spread of Covid-19.
