The Leeds Pride parade was due to take place today but was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

To mark the annual event, The Yorkshire Evening Post takes a look back at the much-loved LGBT+ celebrations through the years.

1. 2006

The celebration first took place in August 2006 and was then called Leeds Gay Pride.

2. 2006

Just 6,500 went to the first Leeds Pride celebration, compared to 40,000 in 2017.
