Leeds General Infirmary and St James' Hospital issue urgent capacity update for third time in four days

The accident and emergency departments at Leeds General Infirmary and St James' Hospital are "very busy" for the third time in four days.

The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has again issued an update on capacity at its A&E wards this morning (Monday).

In a social media post, they asked people to ring NHS 111 if they feel unwell instead of going to A&E.

The full statement said: "Our Emergency Departments are very busy at the moment so if you're feeling unwell call NHS 111 instead of going to A&E. Y

The Trust issued similar updates on A&E capacity on Friday and Sunday.
