Whole year group bubble self-isolating at home after coronavirus case in Seven Hills Primary School

A year group bubble has been disbanded and children sent home after a positive case of coronavirus at a primary school.

The positive case affected Year 5 at Seven Hills Primary School in Morley.

The confirmation came on Tuesday September 29 and the bubble was disbanded, the headteacher told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Children and staff affected are now self isolating at home in line with national guidance.

They are due to return to school on October 14.

Mr Catherall, Headteacher of Seven Hills Primary School said in a statement: ‘We received confirmation of a positive case affecting our Year 5 group last Tuesday.

"Following the robust procedures that we have in place, we contacted the Department for Education for further advice and, as directed, disbanded the relevant bubble in school.

"The children and staff affected are now self-isolating at home in line with national guidance and will return to school on 14 October.

“The safety and wellbeing of our whole school community continues to be our main priority and we have safety procedures and risk assessments in place to help limit the spread of the virus.

"We are grateful to all our pupils and parents/carers for their ongoing support.”
