A total of 24 new coronavirus deaths were recorded across Yorkshire in new figures published on Friday (Oct 23).

NHS England releases updated figures each day showing the dates of every coronavirus-related death at hospitals in England, often including previously uncounted deaths that took place several days or even weeks ago.

The highest increase was recorded by Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. with a total of six new deaths.

The deaths were recorded by the following trusts:

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: 2

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust: 1

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust: 3

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: 4

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust: 1

The death toll in the region now stands at 3,189.
