Three coronavirus deaths recorded at Yorkshire hospitals

Three people have died at Yorkshire hospitals after testing positive for Covid-19, according to the latest statistics.

On Saturday October 3, one person died at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and two people died at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

An additional eight people who tested positive for coronavirus died in hospital elsewhere in England, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 30,176, NHS England said on Monday.

Patients were aged between 67 and 91 years old.

All but one 85-year-old patient had underlying health conditions.

One other death was reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.

There have been 2,987 deaths at hospitals across Yorkshire, and 347 across Leeds hospitals since the start of the pandemic.
